Volunteers with WVCP have retained George Janes, founder of George Janes & Associates and one of New York City’s most experienced zoning consultants, to analyze zoning and land-use compliance for the St. Luke’s Church block. Mr. Janes has more than four decades of experience interpreting the New York City Zoning Resolution and has advised architects, developers, attorneys, and community groups on complex land-use and development issues across the city. His work frequently involves detailed analysis of zoning diagrams, development rights, and open-space calculations. His independent review will help clarify whether the proposed construction and the block’s existing zoning arrangements comply with current zoning law.
